2018 Sales Results
2018 yearling sales results were strong with our focus on early maturing 2yo.
Two Bays Farm has worked hard over the past few years to acquire dams to breed early maturing 2yo speed horses. Early signs are starting to indicate we are producing a product the trainers and syndication groups are liking a lot. In 2018 we have sold yearlings at Magic Millions (Jan sale), Inglis Classic and Melbourne Premier with strong results for the farm bred horses and client horses. Of the home bred yearlings we sold seven averaging $150k with the highest price yearling sold being a colt by Shooting To Win out of Alcatraz (Fastnet Rock) sold to Star Thoroughbreds for $250k. Henry Plumtre quoted “Strong, attractive colt with great scope. Athletic. In my view the colt of the sale”.
We extend a warm thank you to all the buyers and wish them luck with a group of very nice horses. Thanks to our clients and staff for turning out such a well prepared and presented group of yearlings at all three sales.
